"AZTEC PEACE" You may ask why that particular title is applicable to the painting. It comes from the fortunate outcome of a trip I made to Santa Fe some years ago. In fact I was up there to photograph a church in Santa Fe called the San Miguel Mission, Click here. This proved just a little difficult to do because there happened to a peace protest going on at the time. I had to wait for a parade and a rally to finish before I could get anywhere close to the Mission without hundreds of people in front of it. " The rally was in the square in Santa Fe and it was a wondrous sight to see. There were people in all color garb. The characters you see here were involved in a ceremony to peace throughout the earth. They are Mexican Aztecs in traditional dress. The painting has been published in the New Mexico Bar Magazine and of course I publish it as well in print. The original is a large one measuring approx. 20"x27" unframed. |
