"ROADRUNNER ROCK"

I spend a lot of time just driving around Albuquerque and all over actually. One day I was driving up in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains in the neighborhoods. There I discovered this carved rock in a residents side yard.
Roadrunners are very common in this area. In fact you can see them all the time but they usually are unseen hidden away in the underbrush until they decide to dart out.
The rock was the inspiration and I wished to hide the Roadrunner in full sight to describe the birds habits. I find that I had succeeded in that showing it and hiding at the same time.
The painting is approx. 20"x14" unframed
