This Church is on the east side of the Sandia Mountains on the North 14 which leads to Santa Fe eventually. The town is called Madrid. The pronunciation of the word is a little different than most people would assume. The Spanish people who originally settled the town were of a different dialect than some Spanish and pronounced the word Mad Rid. Recently there was a movie filmed there called Wild Hogs and they, in the film, pronounce it correctly.
