ADOBE CHURCH,
TIJERAS, N.M.
This little church in Tijeras, New Mexico, I
call Adobe Church, was a very familiar sight to me for many years and
was the first church that I painted and I also lived close to Tijeras,
in English, scissors.
Although this watercolor was not the first painting I did of the church.
Indeed this one was my second approach to the rendition. The first was
before the village of Tijeras had restored it, pretty much as you
see it here but with more additional landscaping. The painting is
approximately 8 1/2"x11" paper size.
