Line Art, what does that
mean? We all know what a line is. Line Art is a collection of line to
illustrate a picture. The line combination can be considered a cartoon,
in fact. A cartoon is defined as a hard line image. The perspective requires quite a bit more work that the flat elevation. This is because the perspective must be either cast off of the plans using horizon line or taken from photograph and positioned onto a landscape, created or taken from photographs of where the home is to be placed. The flat elevation is traced off the plans as is from a front view usually. Then a landscape can either be created or also taken from photograph of its location. As you can see from the illustration, shadow lines and placement of plants etc., do give the home a sort of perspective look. Both of these techniques, after having been drawn can be candidates for applied watercolor. This is done by printing the completed line art on watercolor paper and coloring it. The result is quite stunning really. Hard line behind and color. More can be understood on my Applied Watercolor page The cost of the line art is $200.00 for the single story and $225.00 for the two story. This applies to the perspective. The cost for a line art in a flat elevation is $125.00 for the single story and $150.00 for the two story. This is on an approximate 11"x17" format on milar. Applied Watercolor comes at a cost of a flat $150.00 also of a 11"x17" approximate format.
